Start with a free self-assessment on IRSA Institute. The diagnostic takes 30-45 minutes and gives you an immediate picture of your governance architecture across all three capabilities (HOLD, LEARN, KEEP).
No commitment required. The diagnostic is valuable even if you don't pursue certification — it surfaces governance gaps and provides a framework for internal discussion.

Provisional status signals commitment to governance architecture. It's not full certification, but it demonstrates serious intent and provides a concrete improvement path.

Full certification after documented implementation, independent audit, and panel review.
Operational certification is rigorous. Most institutions take 6-12 months from provisional status, depending on existing governance maturity and implementation capacity.
Ongoing
Maintain certification through continuous improvement, regular assessment, and periodic recertification.
Certification can be suspended or revoked for non-compliance, failure to maintain requirements, or material misrepresentation. This is not a one-time badge.
Certification fees cover assessment, audit, and ongoing maintenance. Implementation support is quoted separately.
