The third failure mode of single-use capital: a granted dollar works once, so total social production from a corpus is capped by its size rather than its velocity. Any positive recovery rate multiplies lifetime output from the same pool; the grant uniquely fixes velocity at one.
$100 of corpus funds $100 of activity under the grant. At 50% recovery it funds $200 over its life; at 70%, ~$330; at 90%, ~$1,000 — the same capital, permitted to work more times before it leaves.
