A charitable grant structured such that capital or an asset may return to the deploying foundation under specified conditions, without the return being an enforceable obligation. The parent instrument category to which CADA belongs. Distinct from loans and from standard grants: the recovery pathway exists but cannot be compelled.
A foundation deploys an asset to a public institution. If institutional circumstances meet the Transfer Trigger conditions, the asset reverts. If they don't, the deployment becomes a completed grant. There is no debtor-creditor relationship at any point.
