The mechanism in a CADA that defines the conditions under which the instrument converts the deployment from an active right-of-use into a completed grant, or otherwise concludes its active state. Critically, the trigger is driven by institutional continuity logic (recipient circumstances, mission-aligned milestones) rather than capital return cycles.
A Transfer Trigger might specify that after five years of operation in the recipient institution, title transfers unconditionally — or that if the recipient ceases to be an eligible public-benefit institution, the asset reverts. Both are continuity-logic triggers, not return-logic triggers.
