65 pieces of work on one question: why institutions fail at when, and what capital would have to look like for them not to.
Each one comes in two depths. The argument is a plain-English read of what the work claims and why — start here unless you have a reason not to. The paper is the formal version with the mathematics and the citations, for checking it rather than understanding it. Same work, two doors; 30 of them carry an SSRN record and the rest say so.
If you do not know where to start: the four layers below run from the most general to the most specific, and Foundations is the top one. If you already know what is going wrong, the diagnostics will point you at the right layer faster than reading will.
The paradigm and its formal apparatus. Everything else stands on these.
What an institution has to keep alive across time — capital, learning, authority.
Where the substrates break under delegation.
Named real systems that fail this way — PPPs, family offices, blended finance, markets.
A paper we have replaced stays here with the correction attached. Deleting it would be the easier thing and the wrong one.
Derived, and shelved as such. A comparison is downstream of the papers it draws on, not a peer of them.
